CAA Drone Rules (The Drone Code)
Flying drones and model aircraft is a popular hobby. To fly safely and legally, you must follow the Drone Code. These rules are for all drone users, whether you're flying for fun, or commercially.
- Stay below 120m (400ft): Always keep your drone within this altitude limit.
- Keep your drone in sight: You must always be able to see your drone and its flight path.
- Stay away from airports and airfields: It is illegal to fly your drone in flight restriction zones without permission.
- Avoid flying over crowds: Never fly over large groups of people. Maintain a safe distance.
- Respect privacy: Be mindful of people's privacy when flying a drone with a camera.
- Register your drone: If your drone is 250g or more, you must register with the CAA as an operator and take a flyer test.

We believe in responsible and ethical filming, always ensuring that we do not interfere with emergency service operations or compromise the privacy of individuals involved. This space is for those who have an interest in the vital role our emergency services play in keeping our communities safe.
